Donate Your Time
Enchanted Closet relies on volunteers to work at the Enchanted Closet boutiques where high school girls “shop” for a prom dress; to host dress drives at their offices, schools, churches and neighborhoods; and to help with other Enchanted Closet programs. There are several opportunities for those who want to volunteer throughout the year. Some include:
Volunteer in the boutique; collect, sort and stage inventory, and help customers with their selections. Volunteer at GIRL$ Programs and special events; help to decorate, setup, facilitate and participate in activities and discussions, and assist the girls and other attendees.
Volunteer at the Enchanted Closet Prom Dress Giveaway where girls “shop” for a dress and accessories. Volunteer positions include:
- Personal shoppers
- Accessories coordinators
- Registration & check-out coordinators
- Make-up and beauty consultants
We gladly accept volunteers under the age of 18 for special projects. They must have a parent or guardian to give permission for them to volunteer. Volunteers for the Enchanted Closet Prom Dress Giveaway MUST be 18 years old or older. All volunteers must complete orientation and sign a volunteer agreement. Selection of volunteers may be subject to a background investigation.
Youth Empowerment Board
Volunteers who want to play a role in developing plans and programs that empower the lives of girls and positively impact the metropolitan Atlanta community may consider joining our Youth Empowerment Board. The Youth Empowerment Board includes individuals, businesses, and community organizations that serve as advisors, coordinators, facilitators, and mentors.

Donate Your Dollars
Financial contributions for Enchanted Closet project expenses are always accepted and greatly appreciated. We accept online donations via GiveDirect™, a service provided by the Local Independent Charities of America. Making a donation through the GiveDirect secure server is fast and easy, and you will receive an acknowledgement of your gift for tax purposes.
IMPORTANT: Because we use a nonprofit service to process our credit card transactions, your credit card statement will show “LOC IND CH ORG” (not Enchanted Closet). This allows us to keep our administrative costs low, so that we can spend more time and money on our programs.
