Adonica Starke-Melson, Attorney
Adonica Starke-Melson is an Associate at Littler Mendelson, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia. She focuses her practice on labor and employment matters. Adonica represents employers in single-plaintiff, collective and class action litigation involving race, sex, color, disability, age discrimination and harassment; wrongful termination; retaliation; FLSA and state wage and hour law matters; unfair labor practices; and restricted covenants litigation. Adonica’s practice extends to both state and federal law in a variety of different industries.
Adonica is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and an alumna of Spelman College. While at Spelman College, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society. She received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to attending law school, Adonica served as a Teach for America corps member, where she taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade special education in Clayton County Public Schools.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Adonica enjoys volunteering with women and children, attending church at Elizabeth Baptist Church, and traveling. In the words of Marian Wright Edelman, Adonica too believes that “Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.”
