Kalyn Wilson is pursuing her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel, in aid of becoming a therapist, researcher and influencer of welfare policy for the continued empowerment and well-being of African-American families. She is also a freelance writer specializing in health, lifestyle and consumer affairs. Her work appears in outlets like The Huffington Post, Atlanta’s 11Alive and MagnifyMoney.com.
Kalyn is an Atlanta native and a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where she studied psychology and journalism. In her spare time, she blogs at Mind Body Maven and serves youth by coaching and choreographing at various cheer and dance programs in the metro Atlanta area.
