Volunteer Orientation will be held on Thursday, March 1st at 6:15 PM at the Ivy Community Center
Who should attend orientation?
- If you have not volunteered at the Prom Dress Giveaway since 2016, or have never volunteered with us at the giveaway, you are expected to attend.
- If you are only assisting with set-up on Friday, March 9th and NOT the Prom Dress Giveaway, you do not have to attend orientation.
- Those who have volunteered in recent years may attend orientation if they like, but it is not mandatory.
- If your group is volunteering, please ensure that each person that plans to volunteer receives this message.
Want to be a Volunteer Leader?
If you have volunteered before and feel comfortable serving as a Volunteer Leader/Fairy Godmother responsible for overseeing a small group of volunteers, please let us know!
What to expect when you arrive
We will have volunteer participation and photo release forms for you to sign at orientation. If you need a letter to document your service hours, we are more than willing to do so. Final volunteer assignments will be confirmed after orientation is complete.

- We really are in need of plus size dresses—size 14 to 40.
- We also need more volunteers for set up on Friday from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. We may continue set up after 2:30 if the venue allows.
- We also need more personal shoppers for Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am.
